About the Appalachian Innovation Investment Fund

The mission of the Appalachian Innovation Investment Fund (AIIF) is to enhance the development of the entrepreneurial culture and spirit across the Central Appalachian Region. The fund is led, designed, and funded by local investors who assist in identifying, evaluating, and placing private investments. The Fund will invest with a priority in the Central Appalachian Region, including but not limited to the Kentucky Counties of Bell, Breathitt, Clay, Floyd, Harlan, Jackson, Johnson, Knott, Knox, Lee, Leslie, Laurel, Letcher, Magoffin, Martin, McCreary, Owsley, Perry, Pike, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Whitley, and Wolfe. However, the Fund will not be restricted from investing in any business the members deem suitable. The Appalachian Investors Alliance (AIA) is the technical advisor facilitating the fund’s formation and now administers it.
